As part of its policy to support culture, for a third year in a row VIVACOM is main partner of the European Night of Museums. On 17th of May, the initiative, known throughout Europe, celebrated its tenth anniversary.
In Sofia, over 40 museums and galleries were open free of charge to visitors. This year’s program was very rich, offering access to permanent and temporary exhibitions, musical and theatre performances, art workshops for children, concerts. This year VIVACOM Art Hall participated in the European Night of Museums with the exhibition of the American photographer Ben Ritter.
VIVACOM also organized its traditional game with collection of stamps from visited cultural sites in Sofia. Those who have visited at least 15 sites and collected the stamps have received a gift in VIVACOM Art Hall on the same day upon presentation of the stamp card. As a partner of the European Night of Museums VIVACOM has mobilized its Volunteers Club VIVACOM Cares, providing museums and galleries in Sofia with organizational support.
VIVACOM was also main partner of the European Night of Museums in Plovdiv. The event bring together27 regional museums and private Plovdiv galleries, free-lance artists and craftsmen of the first Balkan Crafts Fair. The visitors saw Bulgarian art objects and talk with the artists. The program also included concerts and live demonstrations. Map of the Night in Plovdiv and the full program can be found here.
The European Night of Museums is organized by the Ministry of Culture of France, under the patronage of the European Council, UNESCO and the International Council of Museums. In Bulgaria, the initiative is coordinated by the French Cultural Institute.
