In July VIVACOM supported the summer educational programme for children without parental care. The company is one of the main partners of the Step for Bulgaria Foundation that is the project initiator.
The summer open-air camp with the motto "Step for Bulgaria 2008" was organised for a one month period. The first two weeks the youngsters were educated in Kavarna and the remaining two - in Sofia. This year the programme included 50 orphans aged between 13 and 18 who are supposed to leave the social institution.
The lecturers of the programme were Bulgarian volunteers and foreign students from some of the most prestigious universities in the world, including the Harvard University. The classes were aimed at developing the analytical and creative thinking of the children, at preparing them for their future University studies or future professional realisation.
VIVACOM became a part of this noble cause by purchasing all school aids and stationery for the students and the trainers.
Additionally, four company employees shared their professional experience with the children attending the course, answered their questions and gave them useful advice.
