(26.02.10) VIVACOM enter a financial limit for using data services in roaming in EU countries
Bulgarian Telecommunications Company Plc has taken action to introduce measures of tariff transparency for the use of data roaming services. These transparency measures will apply from the first of March 2010 and are expressed in two main ways.
VIVACOM has created a mechanism for automatic suspension of data roaming services in EU countries when user reach the limit of 115 lv. Once the financial limit has been reached, the user can continue using the service after receiving his/her approval. The procedure for extending the use of roaming services for data transmission is simple - just sending an empty short text message (SMS) to number 2222.
In order to monitor the usage of data roaming services, VIVACOM will provide completely free information to customers when they reach the 80% and respectively 98% of the limit of 115 lv. After reaching a certain limit each VIVACOM's customer can continue using the service by expressing explicit consent. For full transparency VIVACOM will send another additional message which will inform the user that the limit of 100% from 115lv. has been reached.
In addition, any subscriber or a roaming user located in the European Union may contact the VIVACOM's Customer Service using the free phone information + 35987123. Information on use of services for data roaming in the European Union can be obtained in Customer service centers and VIVACOM free number 123.
