(01.07.09) vivatel with lower roaming rates for the Eurozone
Beginning July 1, 2009, BTC's mobile operator vivatel offers lower rates for roaming calls to and from the European Union (EU). The rates are below the levels prescribed by the European Commission and offer better terms for Bulgarian users. After the price cut, the BTC users will be charged BGN 0.99/min. for outgoing calls and BGN 0.43/min. for incoming calls.
"vivatel pursues a flexible pricing policy and aspires to always offer the best terms to its customers,' says Alexander Dimitrov, BTC's Chief Commercial Director. "The EU commissioner for telecommunications set a rate of BGN 1.01/min for outgoing calls and BGN 0.45/min for incoming calls but we have our rates even lower to justify our clients' confidence and offer them a good service for a good price."
For the first time this year, the EU starts regulating the rates for SMS and GPRS traffic which facilitates considerably users. Across the Eurozone, an SMS is charged BGN 0.26 and GPRS traffic BGN 5/MB. That is a great convenience for frequent travellers which previously had to be careful about what rates apply in which country for these services.
The vivatel roaming rates and terms apply both for business and private users of all pre-paid and subscription plans. All clients pay the same rates regardless of their subscription plan and without having to request a special roaming rate or pay an additional monthly charge.
