(08.06.09) BTC unveils visual identity during Sofia Design Week
The show will open with a lecture by famous designer Andre Andreev
The evolution of BTC logos, brands and sub-brands will be displayed at the emblematic building of Bulgarian telecommunications, the Telephone Palace at 4 Gurko Street, between June 9 and 20. The show comes ahead of the launch of the telecom's new brand in the autumn, which will mark the next step in the merger between BTC and vivatel and the restructuring of a technology company into a customer-oriented one with a full portfolio of telecommunications services and a single vision and approach to customers.
One of the key figures in world design, the young Bulgarian Andre Andreev, is visiting specially for the event. He rose to world fame with his New York-based Dress Code agency and his work for Adobe, Nike and MTV. The talented Bulgarian will outline trends in corporate design in a lecture on "A Company's Future Dress Code" to selected guests of BTC.
In connection with Sofia Design Week, BTC has opened a special phone line for information about the festival events. Detailed information about the festival programme, including exhibitions, lectures and workshops, is available at 0800 10 200, which can be called free from fixed line and mobile telephones and public payphones.
Sofia Design Week, Bulgaria's first design festival, is taking place in partnership with BTC. The event has set out to transform Sofia between June 5 and 12, 2009. Its first edition has brought to Bulgaria some of the most prominent avant-garde designers working in modern product, communication, interactive and graphic design. The festival's mission is to place Sofia on the world design map and to seek the next identity of our visual environment.
As a key partner of the first modern design festival in Bulgaria, BTC has staged its own exhibition as part of the event. The show entitled "TELevolution" traces the development of the visual identity of Bulgaria's largest telecom company.
