The company is pushing through its strategy for a dynamic and efficient telecom organization

On April 10, BTC presented the new team, BTC ADSL Rally Team, with which this country's five-time rally champion Dimitar Iliev will be competing this season. It is the first time that the company is supporting a team in the national rally championship and it chose its new face because it fully reflects the corporate values and the company's goals as a dynamic and efficient telecom.

The team of Iliev and navigator Yanaki Yanakiev was named BTC ADSL Rally Team to make a parallel between the high speeds in rallying and high-speed Internet. BTC CEO Bernard Moscheni personally presented the new logo of the team and the car's new outlook in front of the Sofia Telephone Palace building.

"BTC is being convincingly transformed into a dynamic and efficient telecom operator, and these are two of our topmost values," Mr Moscheni said during the presentation. "We are focused on our clients and strive to meet their telecommunication needs as well as cater to their hobbies and preferences. We know that Mitko has lots of fans among our users. We chose to support him because we are the leading telecommunications company in this country and as such we want to be associated only with the best," he said.

"By participating in this year's championship we will show that BTC is capable of winning clear victories in and outside telecommunications, including car racing," Dimitar Iliev commented. "We are happy to have the country's biggest telecom provider behind us and we are grateful for a support which gives us a new self-confidence and faith that we will defend our champions' title this year".

Mitko Iliev is five-time winner of the national rally championship. His career in racing started when he was 19. He has since won several East European FIA cups, the third place in the San Remo rally, victory in the Victory Sofia rally and the Bulgaria rally. He has been the first Bulgarian to participate in the world rally championship. In 2006 and 2007 he won all national competitions where he participated.
