(11.06.09) BTC ADSL Rally Team enters for Rally Stari Stolici 2009

The BTC ADSL Rally Team, Dimitar Iliev and Yanaki Yanakiev, has entered for the Rally Stari Stolici (Old Capitals) over the weekend. The rally in Shumen is the third round of the Bulgarian Rally Championship in the 2009 season. The largest number of teams this season, 41, have entered for the race.

The organisers of this edition of Rally Stari Stolici have included two of the most popular and favourite stretches of both the audience and entrants - Veliki Preslav and Varbitsa.

This is the third rally for which Dimitar Iliev and Yanaki Yanakiev have entered as the BTC ADSL Rally Team. Again, they will be seeking a podium finish after dropping out once and finishing third in the two races earlier this season.

Dimitar Iliev usually gives a very strong performance at Shumen, which is certain to make the race interesting. The stages which are now back on the rally programme are some of the favourites of the BTC ADSL Team, and they will be decisive for the ranking in the Rally Stari Stolici 2009.

The race begins at 6 pm on Saturday, June 13, with a Ceremonial Start in front of the Town Hall of Shumen, followed by the first special stage, the Cloverleaf Interchange. Ten special stages are scheduled for Sunday, June 14, in which the teams will compete for the prizes of Rally Stari Stolici 2009.
