(24.04.09) BTC acquires 2be
The deal is part of the BTC strategy for transformation from a technological to a client-oriented, efficient and dynamic company
Sofia, April 22, 2009 - BTC and the owners of the 2be brand, Kimimpex Turgoviya i Lizing OOD, signed an agreement whereby BTC acquires 100% in the leading chain of stores for telecommunication services, 2be. The deal has been approved by the BTC Managing Board and has been submitted for approval by the Committee for the Protection of Competition. The process of integration of the two companies is expected to be completed by the end of this year. It will include rebranding, as well as merger of the 2be network with the BTC network of shops.
„The deal is part of BTC's strategy for its transformation from a technological to a client-oriented, efficient and dynamic company. Our commitment is to give the better service at a better price, and despite the very challenging and mature market, we are showing to the Bulgarian customer a better value for money than the others competitors. The move to one telecommunication service, with one brand and one customer attitude is the way to keep going to deliver our promises", said Bernard Moscheni, BTC CEO.
The deal between the two companies follows up on a series of agreements for combining their products and services. The deal will double the size of BTC's network of shops.
„The deal offers the 2be team a unique opportunity to continue to work and develop as part of a large, stable and modern company as BTC," said 2be Executive Director Stanislava Arnaoudova.
