How do I use conference call?

Conference call allows you to speak to more than one person at the same time. The maximum number of parties is six (6) - call organizer + 5 additional people. Conference calls with different hierarchical levels aren't possible.

Depending on your phone, you have a different option to set up the conference call feature. Here is an example for setting conference call feature for Nokia phones:

Option A

  • Dial number A.
  • During the conversation choose Options, then choose New Call.
  • Dial number B, the connection with A is automatically placed on hold.
  • Choose Conference from Options.
  • If a number C calls, press Answer (it is shown on the display).
  • To add C to the conference press Options and choose Add to conference.


Option B

  • When an incoming calling from number A is followed by a second incoming calling from number B, choose Answer (it is shown on the display) in order to answer B.
  • The connection with A is automatically placed on hold.
  • Choose Options, and then Conference, the conference call is completed between the three numbers.

How do I use Missed Call Notification?

Missed Call Notification (MCN) is a service which informs you about the calls you've missed while you were not reachable.

For example, when your phone is switched off, you were out of coverage, or if you were busy making calls or receiving data, MCN will notify you for the missed calls.

Missed Call Notification can be used together with voice mail. If the caller doesn't leave a message, MCN will notify you of the call.

MCN will send you a notification message in the following cases:

  • You're out of coverage
  • Your phone is switched off
  • You're making a call and call waiting is not activated
  • Voice mail is not activated
  • Your caller hung up without recording a message on your voice mail box
  • Your caller is calling from a number with present identification


MCN service is pre-provisioned and pre-activated for all mobile VIVACOM customers.

  • To activate/deactivate MCN, send a SMS text message to short number 1234 with the following text:


To activate:

  • In English - MCN ON
  • In Bulgarian - MCN DA


To deactivate:

  • In English - MCN OFF
  • In Bulgarian - MCN NE


MCN is supported in both English and Bulgarian. To change the language of your MCN service send a free SMS text message to short number 1234 with the following text:

  • To change to English - LANG EN
  • To change to Bulgarian - LANG BG

How do I use Notify Me?

Notify me is a service that allows when you're not reachable, out of coverage or your phone is switched off your callers to receive a SMS message when you're available again. The text of the message is ‘The number you tried to call is now reachable: +35987XXXXXXX'

Notify me is preactivated to all mobile VIVACOM customers. Please note that Notify me will not work if Missed Call Notification is not activated.

To activate or deactivate Notify me send a free SMS to short number 1234.

To activate:

  • In English - AON
  • In Bulgarian - ADA


To deactivate:

  • In English - AOFF
  • In Bulgarian - ANE


Notify me is supported in both English and Bulgarian. To change the language of your Notify me message send a free SMS text message to short number 1234 with the following text:

  • To change to English - LANG EN
  • To change to Bulgarian - LANG BG

How to use fixed dialling?

Fixed dialing is a service feature that allows you to restrict your outgoing calls and messages to selected phone numbers, included in a fixed dialing list. Once the service is activated you can only call and send messages to the phone numbers from the list. To set up and modify your fixed dialing list you'll be required to enter your PIN2 code.

How do I use the 3G network?

3G is short for "third generation" mobile telecommunications technologies. VIVACOM provides 3G coverage in certain key locations, please check the 3G coverage.

3G network is preprovisioned to all mobile VIVACOM customers. Your phone needs to support 3G in order to use the 3G services. If your handset has an option in its menu to switch the Network mode between Dual, UMTS, GSM, then the handset supports 3G. Please consult your phone user manual for additional details.

VIVACOM 3G network supports all standard services and settings of the 2G network - voice calls, messaging, CLIP, CLIR, missed call notification, etc. For mobile VIVACOM postpaid customers 3G allows video calling and high speed mobile internet access.

The Video Call service allows two users to see each other on the display of their handsets in real time.

The Video Call service is available for all mobile postpaid subscribers of VIVACOM without an additional actvation to be required.

To make a Video Call it's necessary both of the participants to have a 3G mobile device, supporting the service and to be within the network coverage of VIVACOM 3G network.

To make a Video Call the following steps need to be done:

  • Enter the phone number
  • Select the option Video Call from the menu
  • The called party will receive your Video Call request, which he can accept or deny
  • The Video Call is made if the request is accepted


The Video Call can't be made if the request is not accepted. Both sides can stop and restore the video picture sending during the video call.

You can make national or international Video Calls with all operators which VIVACOM has a 3G interconnect with. Charging depends on the destination.

To make a video call, the calling and the called parties have to be both mobile VIVACOM postpaid customers, using 3G capable handsets, supporting video calling functionality and to be both within VIVACOM 3G network coverage. Video calls are also possible to Mtel numbers.

3G - UMTS and HSDPA technologies

UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) is а 3G mobile technology for data transmission. Along with standard 2G services it allows fast Internet and introduction of new multimedia services (for example Video Call). The maximum speed is up to 384 Kbps.

HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) is a technology which in combination with UMTS provides higher speeds in the data transmission. These speeds allow exchanging bigger quantity of information between the mobile device and the base station and provide access to on-line games, TV & Video streaming, etc. The maximum download speed is up to 1,8 Mbps and the upload speed is up to 384 Kbps.

How do I use Toto SMS?

 Toto SMS is a service that sends SMS results for all games of the National Sports Lottery - 6/49, 6/42, 5/35, Second Toto chance and Toto Joker. You'll receive your Toto SMS results shortly after the draw.

To subscribe for receiving Toto results send a blank SMS to short number 445. You'll receive a confirmation message. Subscribing is free of charge.

You're charged BGN 0.03 VAT included for each SMS with results received from number 445.

To unsubscribe please send a blank SMS to short number 446. You will be charged BGN 0.30 VAT included.

How do I use Champions League SMS?

 Champions League SMS is a service that sends a message with the results of the football games after each half-time, end of game and points in each group of the Champions League.

You're charged BGN 0.03 VAT included for each SMS with results received from number 442.

To subscribe to receive Champions League messages send a free empty SMS to short number 442.

You can unsubscribe from the Champions League messages by sending an empty SMS to short number 443. This message costs BGN 0.30 VAT included.

How do I use mobile books?

Mobile book is a VIVACOM service that allows you to read literature on your phone.

To order a mobile book, please follow these easy steps:

  1. Make sure that your phone supports Java and WAP. Please refer to your phone's user manual.
  2. See if you have the necessary WAP settings. If you aren't sure, please contact Customer Service on 123, 24x7.
  3. Select a book from here or from VIVACOM WAP-portal, Games section.
  4. Send the code of the selected book with an SMS to the number listed for ordering the book. You will receive a confirmation SMS message.
  5. Visit wap.vivacom.bg from your phone and select "My orders" from the "Downloads" section.
  6. Download the book ordered by you on your phone and open it.

How do I use the WAP portal?

 On VIVACOM wap portal you can download pictures, animations, polyphonic ringtones, realtones, themes and videos. To purchase the content on the WAP site you need to select your product and the amount will be automatically applied to your account.

How do I can addtional data MB to my plan?

 You can add to your tariff plan 30 MB, 150 MB and 300 MB for BGN 5, 10 and 20 VAT included per month. These MB are used before any MB you might have included in your tariff.

These MB are not valid in roaming. Unused MB are transferred to your next billing period, but not more than 30 MB, 150 MB and 300 MB.

To request call Customer Service on 123 for residential customers and 121 if you are a business client, 24x7 once per billing cycle.

How do I add / change numbers to my Favouriti calling group?

 You can add a Favourites package to your tariff plan. For BGN 5.00 VAT included per month you receive 1000 minutes to five (5) mobile VIVACOM numbers or four (4) mobile VIVACOM numbers and one (1) fixed VIVACOM number.

The 1000 included minutes are not valid in roaming, to value added numbers and 0700, 0800, 0900 numbers.

To request call Customer Service on 123 for residential customers and 121 if you are a business client, 24x7.

Activation/deactivation of the service is free of charge and is allowed once per a billing period.

Unused included minutes don't transfer to your next billing period. After using all 1000 minutes your calls to the Favourites numbers are charged at BGN 0.05 VAT included.

After initial set up of all five (5) Favourites numbers, you can change them by calling Customer Service on on 123 for residential customers and 121 if you are a business client, 24x7. Every change of number is charged BGN 5.00 VAT included.

What is GPRS?

These network technologies can make the transmission of data faster up to 4-5 times in comparison to conventional technologies such as CSD.

You can use GPRS technology for MMS transmission, WAP surfing or connection to the Internet with a mobile device or with a laptop.

The GPRS settings that have to be defined include the APN (Access Point Name):

VIVACOM default values for APN:

  • VIVACOM WAP - wap.vivacom.bg
  • VIVACOM Internet - internet.vivacom.bg
  • VIVACOM MMS - mms. vivacom.bg


The default profile is the VIVACOM MMS & WAP profile. If you want to use your mobile phone for the Internet connection, you will have to switch to the VIVACOM Internet profile. These profiles can be found in the handset menu that is typically described as "Phone Settings"-"Connectivity"-"Data Settings" though this is handset dependent.

If you want to surf the Internet over GPRS using a laptop, you have to:

  • have a GPRS-capable handset with a modem functionality that can be connected with a laptop over a cable, Infrared (IrDA) or Bluetooth technologies
  • install the modem drivers software for the mobile handset on the laptop
  • have the VIVACOM Internet GPRS profile activated on your handset
  • The data usage is billed as "GPRS data" - see GPRS prices


If you want to surf WAP sites and/or send MMS over GPRS after having activated the VIVACOM Internet GPRS profile, you will have to re-activate the VIVACOM Browser.

How can I add an additional package for international calls to my tarrif plan?

You can add to your tarrif plan a package Europe 80 and World 30 respectively for BGN 5.00 or BGN 10.00 VAT inluded.
 
 Activating package Europe 80, you receive 80 minutes for calls to fixed numbers in Europe, mobile and fixed numbers in USA and Canda per month. Unused minutes in the plan will be carried over to the next month. Their number can not exceed the total number of included bolt on minutes.


 Activating package World 30, you receive 30 minutes for calls to all fixed and mobile operators in any country in the world per month. Unused minutes in the plan will be carried over to the next month. Their number can not exceed the total number of included bolt on minutes.


To actviate the service, please call Customer Service at 123 for residential customers and 121 if you are a business client, 24x7.
Activation/deactivation of the service is free of charge and is allowed once per a billing period.
